The student council is a student representative organisation made up of students from Year 4 to Year 10. These students serve as the voice of the student body. They help share ideas, interests, and concerns with teachers and administrators. The MISB Student Council was first established during the academic year 2020–2021!

For the academic year, 2022-2023, the Cambridge Student Council has set several goals. First, as a team, we would like to unite our community (students and families) and build school spirit, as we know that we can be very strong together. Another goal is to make the voices of our students heard as much as possible.

So far, the Student Council organised three major events throughout the first semester. The first one was a picnic, which in collaboration with the PTA brought out many families on a sunny October Saturday where students had made and brought baked goods in order to raise money for their class funds; parents had a chance to participate in sports activities such as football or Zumba along with their students and everybody had a good time as a community. The second event was a “Shoebox” donation where many students from our school donated items and gifts to children in need. The third event was Spirit Week where for one week, each day had a special theme and all students came dressed according to the theme.

During the second semester, the first event was a book drive that took place during Book Week where students from all of our school donated books. For the rest of the semester, the Student Council wants to plan a food drive for Ramadan, a sports day, and a fundraising school-wide event.
